As part of Mental Health First Aid England's vision to improve the mental health of the nation, we are now accepting Mental Health Level 3 qualifications from other providers as entry points for our courses. If you hold a Mental Health First Aid qualification from an alternative provider you may be eligible to attend this Mental Health First Aid England Refresher Course in order to update your knowledge:

Mental Health First Aid England recommends that Mental Health First Aiders attend a Refresher course every three years. Just like physical first aid, updating skills and knowledge allows people to perform this vital role confidently and safely.​

This is a half day course delivered either Face-to-Face or Online
-
Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
-
We limit numbers to 25 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

With access to MHFAider® support and benefits, training doesn't stop when the course comes to an end. We provide continuous support for MHFAiders® – well beyond initial certification – so they are confident, empowered and motivated to carry out their role.
MHFAiders® get automatic 24/7 digital support through the MHFAider Support App®. From there they will find exclusive resources, ongoing learning opportunities and the benefit of joining England’s largest community of trained MHFAiders®.
